Cherry Blossoms 2013
After just
three sunny days and above seasonal temperatures Mother Nature presented us
with glorious pink cherry blossoms. Metro is decked out in its finery with
glorious Cherry blossoms.
My favorite place to view nature’s spectacle has to
be High Park, the ever so slightly meandering path flanked on both sides by
Cherry Blossoms leading the enthusiastic observer laden with cameras down to
the pond. On the left side the low hillside provides many families with the
opportunity to frolic or picnic. What
could be better than to enjoying the slight breeze under the shade of blossoms,
while resting on colorful blankets and watching the endless parade of
children, pet dogs, baby carriages and men and women in colorful attire? The
air is filled with the cacophony of cheerful laughter as the crowds make that
slow trek down to the Pond. And it does not end there; you may follow the path
alongside the pond observing the blossom laden trees against the blue sky with
fluffy clouds or the glistening pond dotted with families of geese, swans and
ducks.
This spring
tradition should not be missed.
